Leaf Rapids can be reached by car, daily bus service or year-round by private plane via the 3000 foot paved airstrip. There is also a 5000 foot paved airstrip one hour to the north, by car, in the community of Lynn Lake.
Outdoor recreational pursuits abound here in winter and summer. There are incredible fishing and hunting opportunities throughout most of the year. Camping, boating, hiking, X-country skiing, snowmobiling and even a nine hole golf course await those who venture to Leaf Rapids.
